What a day to end my Proton Therapy!
What a day to count the countless blessings that I received during my treatment!
The Chemo treatment finished last week and the side effects are fading away. The dizziness is very little, the change of taste is recovering, the nausea is all gone. The weak knees slowly improving.
The nurse praised Mama Liu’s cooking to keep my weight and my appetite. Weight loss is always a big concern for the medical care team.
The only thing I need to do right now is to “save my face” from the burning of the radiation. Mama Liu has to change the dressing everyday and wrap me up like a mummy!
We are so glad that we will drive back home today for the Easter weekend. But we need to return to Houston to complete the Physical Therapy (the nerve was damaged from the surgery which was inevitable) to “wake up” the nerve from the Lymph nodes removal.
So, we will stay in Houston at least until the week of April 24.
I am very grateful to everyone of your prayers and cares. We will be driving home and thanking God for all of you!
Most of all, what a week to thank the Lamb of God who died to redeem us from sin and resurrected to give us His eternal life!
主受難日，我的質子治療（Proton Therapy）結束！
這也是我要數算治療期間那數不盡祝福的日子！
化療終於在上週結束了，副作用也漸漸消退。頭暈的症狀已很少，味覺也逐漸恢復，噁心完全消失。膝蓋的無力感也慢慢改善。護士還誇讚Mama Liu的廚藝讓我保持體重和食慾。體重減輕一直是醫療團隊最擔心的問題。
目前我唯一需要做的就是保護被輻射灼傷的皮膚。Mama Liu每天都要幫我換藥，把我的頭像個木乃伊一樣包起來！
很高興我們今天能開車回家過復活節。但下星期我們還需要回到休斯頓完成物理治療（手術不可避免地損傷了神經），以「喚醒」因淋巴結清除術而受損的神經。所以我們至少會在休斯頓待到4月24日那一週。
非常感謝大家的祈禱和關心。我們將一面開車回家，一面為你們每一位感謝上帝！
最重要的是，每年這一週，我們感謝上帝的羔羊為我們贖罪而死在十架上，埋葬，第三天復活賜給我們永遠的生命！😊
